Miriam Golden teaches comparative politics at UCLA.
She has conducted extensive research on comparative labor politics and industrial relations,
a topic on which she is
the author or co-editor of four books. More recently, she has been working
on issues involving democratic accountability,
political corruption, and governance, as well as distributive politics and public
goods in both developed and less developed countries.
Currently Miriam serves as Chair of the American Political
Science Association's Organized Section in Political
Economy and as Vice-Chair for Graduate Studies of the Department. She serves
on numerous editorial boards and has held grants from the National Science
Foundation, the German Marshall Fund of the United States, the National
Endowment for the Humanities, and the Governments of Quebec and Canada.
